Journie Rewards Mobile app UI Design

Overview

The Parkland Journie Rewards app serves as a robust loyalty program aimed at enhancing customer engagement and fostering a stronger connection between the brand and its clients. As the largest independent dealer and vendor of fuel and petroleum products in North America and the Caribbean, Parkland has implemented this app across participating service stations throughout Canada. Users can earn points on fuel purchases and redeem them for discounts, free items, and exclusive offers at over 1,200 locations, including Pioneer, Fas Gas, Ultramar, Chevron, and On The Run stores.

A key highlight of the app is its electric vehicle (EV) module, which enables users to effortlessly locate charging stations, manage their vehicle's charging, and accumulate reward points—all within the app. This feature not only addresses the needs of the expanding EV market but also positions Journie as a leader in the digital loyalty landscape, delivering a seamless and rewarding experience for all customers.

Goal

The goal of the Parkland project for the Journie rewards app was to strengthen the brand-client relationship by creating an engaging user experience with tangible benefits. This involved developing a cohesive design system, enhancing user flows with strategic animations, and leading UI design from ideation to implementation. Key features included extensive user research and the integration of a system for managing electric vehicle charging directly in the app, allowing users to find stations and control charging sessions. The project aimed to position Journie as a leader in digital loyalty while effectively serving Parkland's diverse customer base.
